::: SYNOPSIS :::
This two-part series charts the dramatic events which took place in Belfast 100 years ago - the building of the City Hall by the city's high society and the subsequent near-revolution among the poor in the 1907 dock strike.

Never before publically seen pictures by Alexander Hogg who is the premier photographer of this entire peroid are used to great effect in this revealing 2 part documentary series.

Episode 1 celebrates the city's Golden Age and the self-made men and women who forged it. The latter follows the dramatic story of a general strike which brought the industrial giant to its knees, culminating in a police mutiny, the occupation of the city by troops and the last cavalry charge in the history of the British Army.
